Due to the coronavirus pandemic we need to have robust arrangements in place to carry out our flu programme. The safety of our patients and staff is paramount. We need to maintain 2 metre social distancing and ensure all infection control guidelines are carried out making the Surgery a safe environment. The Government has set a very strict criteria with the advice to vaccinate the elderly and at risk patients first. Patients aged 50-64 without a long term condition will be eligible later in the season and when further guidance has been released we will let you know. There will be 7 patients spaced out appropriately at any one time. Patients must wear a face covering, remove coats and have their arm clear of clothing ready to vaccinate. There will be no seating available and staff will be present to ensure patients keep their distance and follow the one way systems. If your appointment is at Glasshouse please go to the back door of the Surgery and if your appointment is at Topsham to the front door. Please do not arrive early for your appointment and do not turn up without an appointment. Anyone who turns up without an appointment will unfortunately be turned away. IF YOU HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS OF CORONAVIRUS – HIGH TEMPERATURE, NEW CONTINUOUS COUGH, LOSS OR CHANGE TO YOUR SENSE OF SMELL OR TASTE, PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY. Thank you in advance for your co-operation. If you usually have a flu vaccine and have not yet been contacted by the Surgery, please ring to make an appointment.
