Medical prescription exemption

If you have one of the following medical conditions you may be entitled to prescription charge exemption.  Please ask at Reception for a Form FP92A.

  • A permanent fistula
  • Epilepsy for which continuous anti-convulsive therapy is required
  • Diabetes mellitus and treatment is not just by diet alone
  • Myxoedema (hypothyroidism requiring thyroid hormone replacement)
  • Hypoparathyroidism
  • Diabetes insipidus or other forms of hypopituitarism
  • Forms of hypoadrenalism (including Addison’s disease) for which specific substitution therapy is essential
  • Myasthenia Gravis
  • A continuing physical disability which means you cannot go out without the help of another person
  • Undergoing cancer treatment
